I have throughout my entire grade school career been both a tutor and a mentor. As young as in nine years old in fourth grade I was selected to tutor kindergarten children in mathematics. As I grew older, I continually tutored my peers in a multitude of subjects, math being the prominent and my best subject. In my junior year of high school, I was personally selected to mentor and tutor at risk middle school aged children at the partnered junior high. I recieved my bachelor degree which helped my develop strategies to guide children with their reading comprehension as well as math skills. I have been a classroom teacher for three years. I have experience with children ages four though fourth grade. I have taught all subjects and show enthusiam though my teaching each day.

A Little Bit About Me...

I pride myself on helping students have fun while learning. I believe that if a student is not enjoying themselves they will not learn. As a teacher I use a hands-on approach to give the students a realistic approach to learning. All students can learn and as a teacher I feel it is my job to bring the best out of any child. I love children and I long to make a difference in each ones lives.
I have worked for an after school program for the past five years. In this position I was able to tutor students and help them with their homework. The experience I have is with students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. I did my student teaching in a preschool and a 2nd grade classroom. In the after school program and the student teaching experience I helped students with all school subjects including english, math, science, social studies and reading.
