My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : This is a subject that has been close to my heart, since elementary school. I love to read and write, and have written many essays and short stories. I have studied creative writing, and would like to some day become an author.

Creative Learning

I have always tutored informally, whether fellow classmates or nieces and nephews. My formal teaching career began as a Teaching assistant at Johns Hopkins University for a field ecology class. I continued as a guest lecturer at various universities and seminars relating to field ecology and oil spill clean-up. I have 20 years experience in field environmental remediations now, that is cleaning up oil spills. I have taught various seminars and presented academic papers at such institutions as Battelle. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelor's degree in English from Tulane University, and I've also started my teacher certification. While I was in college, I worked in three local charter schools tutoring kids in grades 1-8 in reading, as well as helping them with language arts, math, social studies, and writing skills as needed. I got to take classes on early childhood education in subjects such as children's literacy and classroom management, and I even wrote my own children's book! I graduated from high school with honors from a school that never pushed the effectiveness of attending college to students. I maintained my focus and attended Virginia State University in the fall of 2006. My mother was my inspiration, so much that I ventured towards science as my field of study.
