Passionate Elementary Education Tutor

I love teaching and I love to see the spark in a child's eye when they finally understand a subject they have struggled with! I am a certified special education instructional support aide for an elementary school in northwest Fort Worth. During the school year, I work in Resource and Content Mastery with special education students that are in general education classes but need additional instruction in Reading, Math, and Language Arts. I also provide additional assistance through Content Mastery to students in Science and Social Studies. I am currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education as well as pursuing teacher certification through Texas Teachers. Although I work with all levels of students, my specialty is working with children with Autism and behavior issues.

My philosophy of my teaching style can be described as hands on, creative, child centered, yet with an emphasis on the traditional core subjects: reading, and math. My goal as an educator is to teach my students to develop a love for learning and a curiosity about the world around them.
