Math can lead to greater success.

I have experience tutoring elementary math, algebra, geometry, college algebra , and preparation for the ASVAB and SAT tests. While tutoring my students I not only explain the method in solving a math problem, but I also challenge them with leading questions. I want to ultimately help them to develop a process to efficiently work through a problem. Also, I have a strong desire for my students to succeed in passing their class. I teach how math and science can be useful and fun!

I have a BS degree in chemistry and an MS degree in math. I currently teach at the college level for various colleges including dual credit courses in many high schools. I have been a tutor for over 15+ years. I have been a statistician, a chemist in a laboratory setting, worked in the medical field, and done consulting for various companies through out my career. SAT - Math is one of my top subjects! Mathematics is my field of interest and I can teach someone really well and can promise him to score at least 90% in the actual test.

My comments on tutoring SAT - Math : professional development training in ACT prep as well as test taking skills scored a 30 in math and 28 overall myself. Of the 4 students I've tutored in ACT prep 3 scored over 20 the first attempt, none below 18 on the 1st attempt

I would describe my teaching style as dynamic, creative student-centered
I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.
