A Little Bit About Me...

I have 10 years experience teaching reading in public schools. I have a Reading certificate from Texas and extensive training in Reading Intervention and Dyslexia. I believe that everyone is capable of learning to read at his own pace. Each student has strengths that we can build on it to target the weakness points. I know how to inspire my students and instill in them the love of reading through their interest. My students usually discover their abilities and strengths and work with me hard to reach their goals. Over the past 20+ years, I have worked with students from Pre-K through the college level. The commonality that I have found is that reading is the one thing that students need to be able to do and do well in order to be successful. Since reading is fundamental life skill, I chose to become a certified reading therapist using the Phono-Graphix Method of instruction through Read America.
