I graduated with two bachelor degrees(in English Literature and in Theater Arts). I had planned to continue my graduate studies to obtain my Oregon Teacher's Certificate. Due to legislation, there was a radically decreased need for teachers. I decided after my children were grown to return to school to obtain a Masters' degree. I have been a substitute teacher in Oregon for tutoring/detention while a teacher was on medical leave, and was a teacher's aide in California. I was also the team's scribe and grammatist while in graduate school. The other memebers of the team would submit their parts of the project and I was in charge of making sure everything was properly edited and grammatically precise. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a primary focus in International Business, a secondary focus in Marketing Management and a Minor in Speech Communication, along with a certification for Economics through Lunds Universitet in Lund, Sweden, where I spent a semester abroad. I have just returned from Lausanne, Switzerland where I spent the past year teaching English, interpersonal skills and nonverbal communication to two Suisse/French children, ages three and five, who had no previous knowledge of the English language.
