My teaching style is adapted to meet the student’s needs. I firmly believe that each child learns differently. I think students either learn kinesthetically, visually, or auditorally, for the most part. I think it is my job as a teacher to find out which style best suits the student and adapt my style accordingly. A Little Bit About Me...

I try to make things as fun as possible, and I try to help the student understand by putting the subject in a way that suits their interests. I like to joke around with the students, because it puts them at ease, and it develops a relationship with them that is hard to come by. Without that relationship, the teaching is harder, and the learning is harder. I still get the curriculum across, but in a way that the student understands.
I have taught all levels of high school English and all types of academic achievement within those levels. I am currently a middle school teacher. I have worked with AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) as well. I have worked with students either one on one or via the whole class to improve reading, writing, and test-taking skills.
