I believe everyone should be provided an opportunity to learn. I have used a lot of manipulatives to teach math techniques and seen a positive result of this. I also believe in using research based strategies to lead each child to their potential. I recieved my bachelor degree which helped my develop strategies to guide children with their reading comprehension as well as math skills. I have been a classroom teacher for three years. I pride myself on helping students have fun while learning. I believe that if a student is not enjoying themselves they will not learn. As a teacher I use a hands-on approach to give the students a realistic approach to learning. All students can learn and as a teacher I feel it is my job to bring the best out of any child. I have taught life sciences, Earth sciences, world geography, and United States history. I also have a year's experience of tutoring beginning reading.
