I have tutored several people in the past in basic algebra for various things such as the GED or a college class. I worked for two years as a tutor at the Augusta State University Writing Center, tutoring all manner of students, from ESL to graduate students. I also tutored a student with aspergers; thus, I have experience working with special needs clients. I also do freelance editing. I am primarily versed in English, but if math (anything below pre-calculus) help is needed, I will gladly assist.
I change my teaching style depending on the client. With ESL students, I will often point out every mistake to them so that they can get used to seeing what the correct way looks like. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I have a Bachelor of Arts in English including extensive experience with Shakespearean plays, poetry, vocabulary, close readings, multiple meanings, and translation into modern American dialogue. A few of the works I have analyzed are Henry V, Macbeth, Richard the 3rd, Othello, Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, and all of the Shakespearean sonnets.
