I have had the privilege of attending and graduating from Southeastern University with my Bachelor of Arts in English and Intercultural Studies. In the summer of 2012 I completed an eight-week internship teaching English to refugees in Omaha. This past year I held a job as a teachers assistant in the English Department of Southeastern University. I helped assist our majors, did some grading, and wrote newsletters. Practice, practice, practice. Math is not learned by watching, it is learned by doing. Some types of problems can be learned after only a few examples, others take much more time and patience. My role as a tutor is help guide students through a problem while doing as little of the actual calculations as possible. I try to make my students see that many problems, while different in appearance, are actually the same as ones they've already solved before. I worked as a University Lecturer in the University of Yangon, Myanmar from 1977 to 1987. I worked as a private home tutor in Singapore (1992-1993) teaching G.C.E chemistry and elementary subjects and also in Bangkok, Thailand from 1993-1995. I received a certificate of "TESOL-Teaching English to speakers of other languages" in Bangkok. I also worked as a part time instructor in ECC Thailand teaching ESL. I worked as a Business English teacher in Hotel Management School and St. John's College in Bangkok while I was staying there before I came to U.S. in 1996.
