I enjoy working with students. It seems that, in most cases, tutoring is essentially a confidence-builiding exercise. Yes, it's anout instructional leadership, but it's more about showing a student they can really achieve what they're setting out to do. I really enjoy showing students that they know the solution; it's just about learning how to properly express it. A Little Bit About Me...

As part of my education program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I was required to complete a full, yearlong internship. I interned from August-October in a 2nd grade classroom and from October-May in a 3rd grade classroom, Monday-Friday. I went from "student teacher" to co-teacher and my mentor and I would divide the day equally on who taught what. Also, as a part of my internship, I completed and presented an Action Research project which focused on writing in 3rd grade.
