I am a freelance artist/clothing designer. I received my bachelor of arts (fine arts) degree in 2010. While in college I taught the art classes at a vacation bible school to elementary aged students for two summers, I was over the arts and crafts at an Excel summer camp located in Conway, AR for four summers, I entered in and won a sidewalk chalk art competition beating out a lot of my fellow art classmates. Elementary Math Tutor-Bilingual-Spanish

I have 10 years of 5th grade teaching experience, including 6 years of math, 3 years of reading, 3 years of social studies and writing, and 1 year of science. All of my teaching has been done in Title 1 public schools in bilingual classrooms and has included teaching newcomers, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students new to the country. When teaching math, I use many visuals, note-taking, guided practice, small group, and manipulatives to help students understand and apply concepts. It is important that the student understands why and how the math works and that their answers are reasonable.
