I enjoy working with all ages of children because each age group offers unique opportunities. I love tutoring because it allows me to teach in a one on one setting. I believe that no two people learn in exactly the same way so tutoring provides me the ability to teach a child in a manner that will maximize that child’s learning potential. The joy that teaching and interacting with children brings is indescribable; there are few things that can match the satisfaction one feels when a pupil finally "gets it!" I believe that true education comes through understanding. Oftentimes students are taught tricks or rules to help them through a subject area, but I strive to bring my students to a point of clarity; I want them to be completely comfortable with the subject content because they understand it, not because they memorized a formula.
