Reasonable Rates for a Passionate, Experienced Teacher

I have been teaching Information Technology at both the elementary and middle-school level in private schools in Northern Virginia for most of the last ten years. In addition, I have tutored at high-school level in Chemistry and History. With both a Bachelor's Degree in History, and a Maser's degree in Network Information Systems, I am qualified to tutor in both the Social as well as the Computer Sciences, with an additional capability in Chemistry and Math at the advanced high school level.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recently graduated Master's student with extensive experience in teaching and tutoring and working with students of all ages. I currently hold both a BA and an MA in English, and while completing my Master's degree I was a Graduate Assisant, teaching two freshman level writing classes per semester. I taught 7th grade Language Arts for six years when I lived in Florida. I collaborated on the team that created the Orange County curriculum for teaching writing to the middle grades. This curriculum is still in use today. I worked for the Princeton Review as a tutor doing SAT preparation both privately and in a classroom setting. The last step is the most important; it forces the student to think for him or herself and instills confidence that the problem is not beyond his or her level of understanding.
