I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.

As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. Teaching Style- That is an interesting question- since there are so many schools with so many different teaching methods I would like to see how the student was shown the particular method for "attack". It would also be helpful to compare that to the textbook directions; from there I will be able to develop a plan based on the topic and the individual student. I have had to recreate lessons for my son for years in order to develop a style that he understands. The student may have an idea for creatively learning this topic- I am always open to suggestions.
