Children are so important and shouldn't be overlooked or neglected. I have a heart for children, and that heart has grown larger now having three of my own. My teaching style changes based on the learning style of my students. Some are more concrete and others are more abstract. I am comfortable teaching at all levels of both the cognitive and affective domains. I enjoy working one on one with students and tailoring lesson plans to help the student get the most out of a class. I typically introduce a concept or principle, describe why the principle is important, provide a variety of illustrations, then let the student try some exercises. After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases.
