Have tutored for seven years in Tallahassee. Clients included high school, college and graduate students. Specialize in mathematics (algebra through calculus (including differential equations), statistics, economics, and business (accounting and finance). Also do test preparation (ASVAB, ACT, SAT, GMAT,and GRE). My style is informal. My goal is to have my students learn by doing. I have a good experience of tutoring hundreds of students over a decade period of time. I have tutored from first grade student to bachelors' degree students. I have formally taught students from grades four to ten for six months as a science teacher. Recently, I helped my wife in Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Lab and College Algebra. I own my own science consulting firm and like to dedicate a certain percentage of my time to education and public outreach projects including teaching, mentoring, and tutoring. I have taught high school and college students on and off since 1986 and have had several students go on to VERY successful careers, perhaps one of the best ways to evaluate ones ability as a teacher. I have over 37 years experience managing peoply in Supply Chain management and material acquisition. In this role I designed and wrote courses. Using Power Point presentations I taught courses in my field to over 100 students in classes as small as ten to as large as fifty. I also tutored children for two years in the Leon County literacy Volunteer program and one year in the ESOL program. I enjoy teaching and helping young people. I have enjoyed each of my teaching and tutoring roles very much.
