I am a senior, math major at Marist College. I have a strong background in calculus and algebra. Scored a 700 on my math SAT section. Math is something that I am extremely passionate about and believe that STEM majors are the best ones to get you far in the world. I also have a strong background in cognitive thinking and leadership.

A Little Bit About Me...

I attained my first degree in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University in 2003. After working in that field for a few years, however, I chose to change my career path. I then went back to school at the City College of New York to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. I am happy to say that I am graduating this month (December 2010), and have not regretted pursuing this second degree at all. I do enjoy helping anyone write a well developed and educated paper on the topic at hand. My specific style of teaching, especially for the 8th grade, is to read the current book being used, and then present my lesson with lecture, interactive discussion and comprehension, based on the age and grade of the student. I like to put the lesson into terms that the age group can relate to, and then assign a memory technique that will teach the students to recall the proper answer by using the examples we have discussed in class. That is the same method that I use myself when I need to write a paper. I read it, analyze it, comprehend it, and then write a paper based on what I can relate it too. For that reason, I ask a lot of questions to ensure that a student is not just learning by rote, but understands a topic within its larger context. I am a graduate of Siena College and had earned a bachelor degree of science in physics with a minor in mathematics. I have taken all levels of physics from physics and AP physics in highschool to advanced physics classes in college.
