I'm PhD physicist with more than 20 years of tutoring experience at all possible levels and with variety of students ranging from gifted kids of elementary school to PhD students of Wash Uni as well as active tutors themselves.<><><><> I'm really patient (even with my own kids!) and start with putting myself in my student's shoes. I'm using variety of tools to deliver knowledge: verbal, visual, graphical, math formulas, examples from everyday life! I try to discern how the student I am tutoring learns best, whether it's by just doing examples, or visually by physically relating the material to something easier to understand. After I have found out how best to teach my student, I am able to move forward and help them to the best of my ability. In my tutoring experience, I have always been respectful and curteous to my students. I believe that students are much more likely to confident in their learning if they feel as if they are respected their teacher/tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

My first teaching experience was as a high school senior where I was given the opportunity to teach a small group of 5th graders as part of the Missouri A+ program. We began with division, quickly moving into linear and nonlinear algebra, before touching on the fundamentals of complex numbers, graph theory and trigonometry, before concluding with a derivation of the quadratic formula and its applications. I spent three semesters as the academic chair for my fraternity enforcing study hours for fraternity brothers with lower GPA’s; tutoring students in algebra, calculus, physics, and computer science, among other fields. I have also had five years of experience in Latin up to the college level with one year of Japanese.
