I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. My teaching and tutoring experience began prior to completing the BA in Foreign Languages: I had been teaching and tutoring English and Latin to a few Italian students. After graduating and moving to the USA, I started tutoring Latin and Italian to American students. A Little Bit About Me...

In my experiences I have found that children learn in many different ways. Based on this I feel that individualized attention to each student makes them more successful in school, as well as, in many life experiences. Children learn by doing. With this in mind I find the best teaching style for each child. I enjoy using songs to enforce concepts in all subjects. I also enjoy having students discover and comprehend concepts on their own. Any child having difficulty in 3rd grade on in reading or math must remediate the early skills to make progress towards the skills needed to advance to the next grade.
