During my studies I was able to tutor for a program called Upward Bound. I tutored students in many subjects in order to get them ready for college. In order to complete my degree at SUNY Potsdam I had the experience of student teaching. Initially, it is important that I learn as much as I can about how the student is doing with the topic involved. I try to use diagrams, graphing calculators, and other visual aids as much as possible. When appropriate, I ask the student to explain to me as much as they can about a topic.
