I have a Bachelor's Degree in History, and a Master's Degree in English and Writing, both from Northern Michigan University. I have extensive experience in business communications and public speaking. I have taught English and Writing at the college level, and have also used my knowledge and experience to help elementary students succeed. I have a passion for the English language, and a belief that a good working knowledge of written communications will help everyone succeed, no matter the career.

As a 2010 graduate of IUPUI, my student teaching experience has allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals. For my first student teaching experience, I was immersed in an English as a second language setting. At my second student teaching experience, I was involved in an inquiry based, hands-on leaning curriculum that differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every child. A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with youth all my life. I managed youth services at a library and was responsible for all programming and special events for youth of all ages as well as programs for struggling, beginning readers and homework assistance in the afternoons. I worked with many schools providing literacy-based activities in their classrooms. As part of my master's course work in elementary education, I studied child development, mathematics, social studies, science and language arts instruction. My education and experience has led me all over the world providing companies with my skills as an analyst and consultant. After earning my BAs in English and History, I wanted to explore the world. I taught English in Korea, Italy, and finally China. I taught in several settings including classroom, individual tutoring, business meetings, and summer camp.
