I like to understand where the students are coming from, and see if I can make the topic more understandable. My thought is to make the student understand the topic, not just get by.
I have been teaching for six years at the Southwest Colorado Community College. I have taught basic mathematics to algebra III. (Math 121) I also have done quite a bit of tutoring with those in my class, and those not in my class (statistics and calculus). I have taught for the gateway to college program. While in New York, I worked for two years as a teacher of Science at a Junior High school in the Bronx. There I was awarded "Rookie-Teacher-of-the-Year." For one year, I also tutored after school to earn extra money. I have also taught in California and Santa Fe, NM. My passion is to be an International speaker on the topics of Metaphysics and Spirituality.
