Registered Nurse in Texas for 31 years (class of 1992). I have worked in many various fields including cardiology, dilasys, medical/surgical nursing, ER, rehab, renal, pre and post operative care. I have also been a nursing instructor, where I taught cardiac, orthopedics,endocrine with an emphasis on diabetes, anatomy and physiology, dosage calculation, and general nursing care, including work in the skills lab. I have experience teaching my patients and their families, who normally have very little, if any, knowledge about their conditions that they can effectively manage their health on their own.

I hold a BA in Anthropology/Environmental Studies from Bryn Mawr College. I succeeded in Calculus level math and high level Economics courses. Since graduating, I have taken additional college courses in history and government. I have accumulated about 3 years of diverse teaching experiences. I recently spent 6 months as an interpretive Park Ranger at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. While in college, I worked at a community center tutoring elementary school children in math and reading after school.
