I would like to think that I am exciting and fun. I know what it's like to want to impress your teachers esspecially when it comes to music so I don't like to put to much pressure on my pupils. I want them to be able to learn at there pwn pace but also know that I'm here for a reason and that I expect an equal amount of effort from them as well. I did my associate degree studies in Classical performance. When I completed my undergraduate B.A. I had more of a focus study on Jazz composition. I was a high school vocal music director 7-12 for one year right after I graduated in 2007 to 2008. I have since then been teaching a wide variety of music classes in everything from elementary to upper level theory and aural skills. My teaching experience includes English/language arts at the high school level in a suburban district, middle school in an urban district, private school and community college as an adjunct instructor. After having subsequently pursued an alternative career in financial services, I am currently operating as a sole proprietor and have continued my classroom instruction experience for the last three years teahing English as a second language to adult international students on a volunteer basis one evening a week. I love and respect all children and try to meet them where they are. I am very perceptive at times and don't give up easy. If one thing doesn't work, I'd try another. Along with 7 other students, I was directly hired out of college to teach 7th grade English. Along with my 4 years of Latin experience, it increased my abilities in the grammatical aspect of the English language. I also tutored college students while I was attending in first yr Latin and math. I took 4 yrs of French in high school, graduated Shenendehowa in 1974.
