I am highly qualified to tutor others in chemistry, especially organic chemistry. I have B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry, and have almost 10 years of professional experience as a chemist. I have also been a high school teacher of chemistry and physics. I also have tutored college students in organic chemistry. I have also tutored elementary school students in math and reading.
My general approach is to assess the student's learning style and adapt my assistance to that as best as I can. I want to help the student become familiar and comfortable with the subject. As a Weber State graduate, I majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. Even though science has always been a passion of mine, I am very knowledgeable in math. During my undergraduate studies, I have gained even more experience and improved on my grammatical skills. I had the opportunity to be an Anatomy lab instructor for three semesters. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to tutor my wife with her math. At first, this was a challenge. Math is a subject where one cannot only rely on memory. I found that it's best to be very patient and teach the processes of mathematic principles, rather than just assume the person whom you're tutoring knows these processes.
