I enjoy tutoring children with highly engaging activities !

I have been an AB student my whole life, and I was in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school. I consistently help my siblings with their homework (ages 5, 13, and 16), and have worked with after-school tutoring programs with friends. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very motivating person and tend to use humor as a method of teaching. I teach to and with the child and never down to him/her. I break large components into their simplest forms so that a child learns to take things one step at a time and not feel overwhelmed. I make the learning relevant to what the child is interested in or knows about so that he/she can be more engaged in the learning process. I believe that one teaches by asking questions rather than by providing answers. Things learned by rote are easily forgotten.
