A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and helping others, especially children. I believe that there are "no stupid questions" and that all children can learn. I think that one of my best qualities is "patience" with others. I am a firm believer in teaching by example. I like to share my personal experiences of working hard and overcoming obstacles. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students at various ages and stages of development. I consider myself to be very creative, and I try to give the students as much hands-on experience as possible. I have been told I have a three dimensional style of training. I teach in a way that every style of student can (eventually) get it. I have taught both children and adults in the various positions I have held through my life (camps, schools, employers and church). Nothing is more exciting than seeing the "light bulb moment" go off on an individual's face!
As the Head Trainer for Order Entry and Customer Service for ten years at J Crew I taught detailed customer service training for new hires. I also implemented and taught the Train the Trainer Program within the Lynchburg, VA Region 2000 community. I created a Remedial Training Program to raise skill levels among associates and taught Telephone Etiquette and motivational training. I also revised the Order Entry Manual to be used for all new hires.
