I Love to work with children to transfer knowledge and help them learn difficult to understand concepts. Currently, I volunteer 3 hours every Sunday to teach 6th through 9th graders. We start with a lesson (eg. ratio, percent, geometry, algebra, or probability), then move to a quiz or test. Finally, we end with a Math Jeapordy game or a Math Millionare Game. Students are excited to do the Jeopardy and win a prize. I believe learning should be fun and we use a lot of materials from the internet. We use a lot of Math games to make the class filled with fun and hands-on-activities.

I feel it is important to understand what is different and unique about every student. Not all students will learn in the same way, nor will they find their desire to learn in the same way. A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Corning Community College, I was a tutor in the Math Learning Center. Of the two years I attended Corning, I worked in the MLC for one and a half of those years. As a tutor, I helped other students with subjects including: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Applied Calculus, Calculus, and Calculus II. As a result of my tutoring style, I had several students return for additional assistance. As a result of being a tutor from Corning, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students. These students ranged from Freshman right out of High-School to working adults who are trying to further their education.
