I was let go from a local company earlier this year. I have decided to make a career change and my goal is to teach math at the high school level. I have a year of college to be certified. I'm a full student at CCC, and will take the Pedagogy requirements at Elmira College. I intend to tutor and substitute teach this winter and spring during college. In industry, I was a Mechanical Engineer and spent time in management. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a MBA. I spent ten years in the Army and National Guard. I am divorced and raising four children. I am active in the local Boy Scout troop.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a parent of two children ages 3 and 8 i have had first hand experience in tutoring and teaching. I have also worked at Head Start for 5 years. During this time I have gained an extensive amount of experience and knowledge of teaching basic math skills, reading, and Grammatical skills. I currently have graduated with three associate degree's and will be working towards my Bachelors in the fall of 2009. I have a great understanding for English and reading and believe that literacy is the most important aspect of life for all people.
