Russian to English, English to Russian tutor, translator

From Russia, learned English in America, as well as Spanish. Took lessons in college, received straight "A"s in all. Language is very much based on experience, therefore I know how to teach because that is how I learned. If needed, before the first tutoring session, I can provide my lesson plan. I love working with children of all ages. I really like elementary age children. I have a hands-on approach to education. I want kids to get their hands into activities so that they may retain things longer. Now I do realize that not every student is hands-on. That is the responsibility of a teacher or tutor to find out what works for each student and set the envioronment for each learning experience.
I taught public school for 4 years before getting a masters degree in Religious Education with a Concentration in Childhood Education. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been fascinated with the Spanish language: its phonology, expressions, and many forms of the Spanish language. That love of Spanish caused me to formally study the language, and earn a B.A. and an M.A. in Spanish. My interest in Spanish also took me to Paraguay, and Mexico, where I lived for over three years. Many of my employment positions allowed me to use my Spanish communication skills. I have tutored part-time for over 10 years, taught high school, and done some light translation.
I follow the teaching strategy of Total Physical Response with commands, and TPR for stories. I find that this gets the students engaged with the foreign language, and they start communicating in Spanish faster than if other teaching styles or strategies were used. As stated earlier, All children can learn. I believe that all children have different learning abilities and it takes a positive ad patient teacher to notice and react. I am very patient, caring, and supportive. If a child is struggling to master certain objective, then it is my responsibility to provide all avenues to ensure success. There is no "u" in team.
