A Little Bit About Me...

I was the type of person back in school who could never focus on anything in school,and one year I had to go to summer school.There I met a teacher who changed learning for me completely.I learned thing that i struggled to learn for years in just a couple months.It was amazing.From then on i remembered his teached ways and swore I would become a teacher or even a tutor and teach the same way he did,to help others learn and feel accomplished like I did.

My comments on tutoring American History : I have taken extra American History courses in addition to my elementary education courses for my degree.

I have tutored in both Robeson County and Cumberland County for a total of six years. I tutored students in math, reading and science from grades Kindergarten to sixth grade. We also prepared students in grades three through six for the End of the Year test. We taught test taking strategies as well. In addition, I have tutored students that attend college in American Government and World History. I also, tutored in GA for three years. There I tutored various age groups in writing, reading, math, test strategies, and Microsoft Office. American History is one of my top subjects! I have always loved American History. Teaching and tutoring this subject has been of great joy to me. American History has been a top homework help favorite for myself and the children that I have been a nanny for.

I have been working with children for the past seven years. Four of those years have included homeschooling pre-school and pre-kindergarten as well as homework help and tutoring the children that I was babysitting. I love tutoring because it allows me to work one-on-one with my students.
