My comments on tutoring Spanish : I have been speaking, reading, and writing fluently in Spanish for 10 years. I have been tutoring adults and children in Spanish for 8 years. I have been interpreting/translating for Spanish speakers for 8 years.

I have been speaking, reading, and writing fluently in Spanish for 10 years. I have also been teaching Spanish (to children and adults) and translating for Spanish-speakers for 8 years. I speak Spanish daily because my husband is from Mexico and does not speak English. I also have 2 children (7 years old and 5 years old) who are bilingual.
I use a combination of E-mail, Telephone, Instant Messenger, and Video Chat (optional). Each lesson requires the student to translate from Spanish to English and then to translate from English to Spanish. Therefore, the student begins speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish from Lesson 1. I adjust to the student/learner as I am told or discover their learning preferences. A Little Bit About Me...

As a supervisor and trainer in the military, it was my responsibility to train the new individuals that came into the job. There was a lot of studying material that I constantly had to sit down and go over with them. We made flashcards, took notes, made up quizzes, did verbal question and answers, etc. I actually used to tutor math in High School when I was in an advanced Calculus class and have helped many friends with their college math. As a grad student, I am writing lots of essays which has really helped me with my English skills. I have a lot of academic experience that I would love to utilize while tutoring.

A Little Bit About Me...

Every job I've ever had has been one where I teach. I had a job 3 years teaching ballroom dance, 2 years I coached T-ball, and for 4 years I've tutored math.
