As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.
I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. I love working with kids, and I think that with patience, understanding, and time, all students are capable of reaching their potential.

I have taken education classes at Northern Kentucky University. At one point, I was considering on being a Art Teacher. I didn't finish with that path, but I did gain much experience with children and knowledge during that time in working with students. I have worked and studied special needs children as well. I still consider going back for a Master's at some point in education. I think this job would be beneficial in my goals, and for my students, and a great learning experience for us both.
I am not overbearing. I am laid back, but at the same time, I make sure that the student learns what he/she needs to learn. I am very patient. I try to respect the student and not make learning seem like a chore. Building a foundation of learning skills, even during a short tudoring session can really change a student's approach in all of their classes.

Further, I had extensive experience in Title I and Reading Labs, even on the college campus where I studied. Later, I earned my Master's degree and did research to assist me in understanding the pervasive issue of a higher incidence of language difficulties faced by these students versus that realized in Math. During the past years, I have taught high school and college English courses to students who have been identified as needing assistance in Reading and writing. A Little Bit About Me...

As a undergraduate student, I was driven to recieve my degree in Health Education. Now that I have recieved my B.S in Health Education which has enabled me to gain knowledge in the areas of psychology, biology and anatomy and physiology. In addition, I have learned extensive skills and was able to tutor those who were in my class that were having difficulty understanding and finishing assignments.
