I have been a certified special education teacher for 10 years. I have had the fortune to teach in various environments in a handful of different states. I have taught elementary students for a majority of my career, but have also managed to squeeze in high school and middle students for three years. The flexibility of my certification has allowed me to teach students with varying needs in the classroom and to teach Core Curriculum state standards, an alternative curriculum, and functional skills.
I believe that all students are successful. Each child needs to be given the correct tools for him or her to learn properly. I teach to the child's needs in all situations and adapt and modify the lesson.

After coming home stateside, although not certified, I earned extra income by giving classes in English to Hispanics in my home. A Little Bit About Me...

After having been a stay at home mother for many years I decided to go back to school and get a degree in education.
