A Little Bit About Me...

How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. That led to my doing teaching seminars, which led to consulting, which led to training, which led to my working with individuals as a life coach. Albany and helped him learn English. I am also able to help in foreign language tutoring with German and French.

Currently, I work for the Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa school districts as a home instructor for grades 6 to 12. I enjoy working with the kids one on one and feel wonderful about helping them stay up to date with their school work until they are physically able to return to the regular classroom setting. I have always been a very direct teacher. What I mean by that is I am very clear on what my goals are in a classroom from the very first day I begin. I let all of the students know what my expectations are, and what dissapoints me. I know that each child is different.
