I have not tutored publicly before, but have tutored friends children/ family members for standardized tests such as the high school history and english statewide tests. I have tutored 5+ people in college algebra (all earning A's) as well as helped high school students with algebra. I am probably best at writing papers and reading comprehension type tasks. Because I have little experience, I would be willing to take reduced pay for a couple of sessions to assess if you feel I am helping your child, and then we could set a more formal agreement. I've been an Assistant Teacher on three different occasions at three different schools. I've always wanted to be in the education field but unable to finish my education. I'm an assertive motivator. Learning should not be repulsive, children love to learn by examples that they can relate to. I find the opportunity to combine the likes and dislikes of the student and mold them into a constructive solution. Using metaphors and similes are more of my specialties. While attending high school at South panola, I tutored every subject at the school and at the boys and girls club for four years. I have earned a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math.
