A Little Bit About Me...

I love helping others overcome obstacles to understanding, and showing them that they have the ability to do what they thought was impossible. I believe in building upon a solid foundation so that the student really learns and understands the concepts of a subject (and doesn’t just shoot for a passing grade). I like to discuss the material and include additional background information because that helps make the subject more interesting. Where formulas, memorization and/or calculations are involved, I will explain, practice, check for understanding and practice again. A Little Bit About Me...

My education and experience has led me all over the world providing companies with my skills as an analyst and consultant. After earning my BAs in English and History, I wanted to explore the world. I taught English in Korea, Italy, and finally China. I taught in several settings including classroom, individual tutoring, business meetings, and summer camp. My undergraduate education was focused in English and History. I am currently earning my masters degree in Business Administration.
I adapt to the student. In my experience with several students is that they all need a different approach. I like to use examples to explain things to my students for example a video game or sports. I am a patient teacher but demand all of a student's attention.
