Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I have taught algebra, geometry, ESL, English Grammar, and Arabic language for over nine years. Most of my teachings have been one-on-one where I use standard textbooks, secondary sources, and additional materials to reinforce classroom/online learning. I provide plenty of time for Q&A session. I prefer hands on kinethetic activities to assist with memory retention.
I am currently an adminstrator in a public school. I do miss teaching and would like to tutor on a part-time basis. I am certified to teach Math 4-8 with an endorsement in Algebra I. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always looked at teaching as a learning process for which the objective is not only learning for students but also learning for the teacher. A great teacher is one helps the students see how these theories can be at least partially verified through life experience. I have often felt that the ultimate purpose of education should not be a mere accumulation of knowledge. Therefore, as a teacher, I believe my job has several aspects: teach students how to think instead of what to think. teach students how to process and digest as opposed to memorize, store, and display information.
