I am now working on my Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I worked as an English tutor for international students at the University of Findlay from 2007-2009. I also tutored college students in Spanish in the fall of 2009. I have also tutored elementary school students in English. I studied Spanish in Mexico and Arabic in Jordan. My strongest subjects are Spanish, English (writing, reading, grammar), and social studies (geography and government). I enjoy watching children learn and grow. I believe there are different teaching techniques for each individual student. I love helping others with Spanish and I believe that there is no right way to help kids along in the language. Everyone is different. Personally I improved immensely after volunteering as a translator in a free clinic for migrants. Speaking with native speakers was very beneficial for me. I could not have come to that point however without a lot of hard work and studying.
