 Italian is one of my top subjects!I have taught Italian for many years now, having studied in Italy,lived and visited there many times during the last 30 years. I am at the level of a native speaker regarding proficiency. I use a modern teaching method based on scientific evidence that children learn 60% of their native language by listening, 30% by speaking, and only 5% each by reading and writing. Learning should be fun, so although grammar is important, the ability to understand and be understood should remain in the forefront.

I view myself more as a coach than a "teacher", using a modern didactic method also known as accelerated learning. Learning should be fun, otherwise, something is not right, and I always try to find out what that "something" is. In the past 30 years, languages have been my passion. I have worked as a teacher, proofreader/editor, and also as a translator. I have taught everything from classes to private lessons, children to senior citizens with success and enthusiasm. I always try to find out what my students love, and start working from this to help them achieve their goals.
