My name is Shawna Conyers

My teaching style is different. I like to teach students in a way that they will understand it. Every student learns differently. I work at the pace that fits there need and teach at there pace. There is no rush.
I was a teaching assistant last year at my old high school in Georgia. I've tutored many student and have helped them pass many subjects. Test Preparation is one of my top subjects! If you are studying to take your ASLPI or just a class exam, I am knowledgable about different tests and the way they are presented.

Start with the basics. Assess what level the student is at and then work that into a more challenging structure to pertain to what the student would like to accomplish.
I have been immersed the field of interpreting since 2008. Having graduated out of Bloomsburg University in 2012, over the last two years I have been professionally interpreting in three states and in various fields. My work ranges from public school classes, college lectures, medical appointments, religious sermons, platform events and government assignments. Regularly, I attend different workshops and Deaf events around the community to keep up with my skills and to continue learning the ever changing language of ASL.
