I have extensive experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school through junior college. As a parent volunteer, I tutored K-6 students in math and reading. As a Learning Center and Basic Skills instructor at Trinidad State Junior College, I taught classes in math and English, and I worked individually with students on a variety of subjects including study skills, spelling, history, math, and English. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelors degree with duel majors in both psychology and sociology. I was a TA for a semester my senior year of undergrad and assisted a lot of my peers through college with psychology and sociology courses especially related to theory and more concentrations topics. During my studies at Northwest Florida State, I was able to experience a total of 60 total hours in elementary and middle school classrooms. I learned various teaching techniques and styles, and also assisted in helping students in reading and math. In South Korea, I taught English as a foreign language for 16 months. Here, I continued to hone my teaching style and learned how best to help my students by understanding their specific learning styles and teach accordingly.
