A Little Bit About Me...

I like to share my passion that comes from the pure enjoyment of understanding a subject and sharing this passion with my students. As an engineer I try to show the practical application of concepts, and from my interests in history and literature I try to provide an historical context to the development of the concept being taught. I believe in the innate ability of all students to learn, although of course not all learn at the same pace - I believe the key is to relate the subject matter to the student's life experiences and thus make the connection where learning is possible.
While working as an engineer I discovered a passion for teaching and the joy of "sharing" knowledge with others. I am now semi-retired and would like to extend that passion by tutoring in science and mathematics on a part-time basis.
