My teaching style approaches the learner with patience and creativity. As an art and writing student, I realize that many kids learn differently, and I try to approach each situation as a unique situation. As a writing consultant what I loved hearing about was when students became more confident and improved to the point of independence. After receiving the Ph.D. from Notre Dame in 1985, I taught at Saint Mary’s College, Purdue University North Central, and Notre Dame, and currently am teaching selected courses – just one each term – for Trine University.
