Composition is one of my top subjects! Teacher writing is my favorite thing to teach, as it is a chance to see a student's creativity and uniqueness in their work. As a certified Teacher of English (NJ), I am prepared to teach writing composition at any age. I have worked with beginning readers who are just learning to make letters into words and words into sentence. On the other side of the spectrum, I have taught High School English, and thus am familiar with working with the upper levels of writing. I currently am working with an SAT student who needs help with the writing prompt. Reading is the Key to Success!

My style is based on the student's manner of learning and it is based on repetition of various materials. First, I allow the student to tell me what she or he knows about the subject. From that I can see what he or she has maintained and what style of learning fits the student best. I also like to have students complete problems in a very close manner to the manner that I used to solve similar problems. After I finish one problem, I like her or him to repeat solving the problem and explain why various steps have been taken to solve the problem. Writing is clearly a skill that crosses majors, and is a critical skill in the workplace.
