I believe all students have the ability to succeed. In my experience, the most important thing to remember is that all students learn differently, and sometimes what seems like an impossible task just needs to be presented differently for better understanding. Relating the material to situations and applications that are relevant and familiar to that particular student is a much more productive and beneficial way to have students retain information. I try very diligently to make each learning experience count and have students enjoy the learning process.

I have only worked with students at the 8th grade level through adult, but have been able to engage students at every level of ability. I seek to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses, as well as his or her most beneficial learning styles, and to use those styles to develop the weak areas while capitalizing on the strengths. I am very patient and have a strong ability to explain different approaches to understanding concepts.
