My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : Reading and spelling is taught using the Orton-Gillingham approach. This method is perfect for students with Learning Disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, and language processing problems. I use materials from the Wilson Reading System for their ease and low cost to parents. I am a Michigan certified teacher in the area of Learning Disabilities, Secondary English, and Secondary Social Studies. I have 22 year of experience working with children and adults with language processing problems. I have been rated "Highly Effective" every year. My goal is 100% fluency. References upon request. I have a love for learning and teaching!

I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. I have experience in teaching students with disabilities in reading, writing, and math. Many of my students have also been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional impairments. I am currently teaching my second year at a center-based school for autism.
