I firmly believe in meeting a student where they are academically, socially, and emotionally by adjusting my teaching style to best fit their learning needs. I have experience in tutoring and small group instruction in elementary regular ed, inclusion, and special education classrooms (including speech). Throughout my undergraduate, I have had many hours of field in experience in 2nd grade regular ed and inclusion classrooms and elementary special ed and inclusion, including speech. I have lead small group instruction in varying subjects, assisted in reading and reading comprehension, test prep, and study skills.

I sincerely believe that reading is the role to true freedom. Reading opens the doors to knowledge from books and the internet. It is the key to learning. My professional experience has expanded from Bookkeeper, Researcher, to Assistant Crew Leader for Census 2000. At home I have home schooled two daughters. I have helped two grandsons get ready for school and also prepare for their new school year during the summer break. From 2006 until June 30, 2012, I was a work at home professional in customer service and sales.

I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th- 9th grades. I was a Title I Reading teacher for 3 years, working with struggling readers. I later went on to teacher 1st and 2nd grades self-contained. During those years, I offered tutoring during the summer to students ranging from 1st grade to 11th grade. I have taught World History and Language Arts for middle school students for the last four years.

I am hands on. I personally learn best from things like powerpoints and handouts. This is also the way I tend to teach others. I am a high school senior in the AP/Honors program at Warner Robins High School. I have two little sisters who I have tutored since they began school. On average, they have scored higher on tests when I have helped, particularly in the area of social studies. I have also helped multiple students at my school. The average that they score on a test is typically ten points higher than when they study by themselves and, in some cases, twenty points if the student does not study at all. The results are typically better in social studies, the subject which I am most proficient in, but all subjects tend to shoe significant improvement.
