I tutored at the local elementary school for two summers straigth and absolutely loved it. Children are a joy to work with becuase they are eager to learn. I feel that if you make it interesting for a child then their learning experience becomes something that they won't forget. After I graduated high school I went to a community college just to get the feel of college. I decided to major in speech because I was interested in correct speech. Not only how words were pronounced but also what mechanisms that are used to produce correct speech. I went on to Delta State University to pursue my Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing, and might I add they had a spectacular program. I learned a lot more than what makes a person have a speech disorder.

I have a BS in Speech Pathology w/a minor in Special education and I am currently working on my MS Ed in School Counseling. I will graduate from the Univ of Southern MS in May 2011. I've tutored children in English, Math, Science, and Reading. I absolutely love working with children of all ages. I love to see the end results from working one on one w/ a child at the end of a session. I am very patient, and a firm believer that every child can learn!
